We are a fast growing Generac generator dealer in SE Michigan looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. Specialized Power Services, Inc. was established in 2007 as a specialty electrical contractor adding generator services in 2009. We have since focused our business on turnkey standby power solutions for home and business. From sales, installation to service we educate our customers and provide exceptional service. Specialized Power Services, Inc. of Brighton, MI is looking to expand our generator installation team by hiring a Journeyman Electrician. Come be part of a great team and grow with us! This is a full time position for a licensed Journeyman Electrician. Responsibilities include: Installing Standby Generators (residential and commercial) Installing Automatic transfer Switches Light electrical/ generator service calls Troubleshoot electrical systems and devices Adhere to NEC codes Heavy Lifting is required Additional information Company truck is provided. Overtime and weekend work as needed GENERATOR EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS BUT NOT REQUIRD, WE WILL TRAIN Qualifications: State of Michigan Journeyman electrical license Generator and ATS experience (Preferred) Must Be able to read electrical schematics, blueprints Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills a plus Pay based on experience and skill level Valid MI drivers license

Generator Technician

Specialized Power Services is looking for talented and motivated Generator Technician to perform preventive maintenance and service on Home Standby and commercial generator systems. The ideal candidate will have an electrical/mechanical background and a desire to learn and grow. Responsibilities and Duties Perform preventive maintenance on on power generation equipment and automatic transfer switches in the Oakland, Livingston, Washtenaw, and Wayne County areas Trouble shooting engine and electrical problems Perform start-ups on new power generation equipment Perform warranty work on power generation equipment Must be able to respond to emergency service calls as needed. Process required paperwork within deadlines Complete basic electrical tasks as needed Sell and renew preventive maintenance contracts to new and existing customers Qualifications and Skills Minimum 2 years of experience with natural gas engines, generators, and automatic transfer switches EGSA Certification a plus High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and schematics Excellent troubleshooting skills Highly organized and independent self-starter Good communication skills, enthusiastic attitude, and great customer service skills are a must. Use computer/ Cell Phone Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions Must have valid drivers license and be able to pass a drug test. Equipment/Tools Required: Must have your own set of general tools Leather steel toe work shoes Multimeter (Fluke 87 or equivalent) Ammeter or amp clamp capable of 600 Amps AC
